HCG Platinum

Mike and I are not very happy right now after hearing the news about the recall of HCG Platinum. We recently stopped by the GNC just to see if they had the product and the manager told us that it was being recalled and has been pulled from their shelves.

In this article, Kevin Wright -who is on the pamphlet in the box -is quoted.

Kevin Wright, president of HCG Platinum, says his company made HCG products until about two months ago; it stopped because it found a formula that doesn't use the hormone. Some bottles of the HCG formula are still on store shelves, selling for about $70 an ounce.

So Mike and I started discussing this. On R2, we did not lose as much as we did on R1. When we started R2, the first thing I noticed was that the bottle color had changed from brown to blue. Then during R2, I had a harder time dealing with the diet. Because of this, we stopped R2 earlier than we had planned. I didn't have any issues with R1.

Now we understand that R2 was a waste because we didn't lose as much as we wanted and now we have gained that weight back. Fortunately, we have not gained any weight back from R1. So the product changed between R1 and R2 - and that was evident with the bottle color change..yet we didn't investigate it any further.

The original diet works, taking GNC HCG Platinum we thought was the best choice because of GNC. We are not happy about this and GNC. So much for their reputation! Now, I know that they probably got rooked also. Anyhow, I had to say something to all the followers that the new blue bottled HCG Platinum apparently is being pulled and being replaced with X30. But they are still selling the Platinum online (until it is gone because it is not being manufacturered anymore -supposedly.

Oh well, just had to vent. Good luck everyone!

R2 P3 D3

We decided this week to stop this Round. We have reached a great weight. Losing 25 lbs for me and 35 pounds for Mike. We finally feel we are at a great weight and able to move forward without any more HCG. During the last 6 months, we have increased our exercising at the gym as well as overall. We are very happy.
We can't stop talking about the HCG and how great it has been. We still have some leftover so if we gain any weight we will be able to do another round. However, we feel we are there. That is incredible feeling. We both can't wait to see our doctor in the spring. He will be super surprised to see how much we hve lost since last year.

Yahoo. Several of our friends have also been on this HCG dieg and have been successful. We will continue to praise it.
I probably won't be updating this blog since we officially are done. We will see. For all of my followers, best of luck and good luck! You can't go wrong on this diet.

R2 P2 D14-15

The last two days have been downs and ups. Yesterday I weighed in at 164.2 and Mike weighed in at 240.2 I was hoping to cross over to the 163s today but I did not. In fact, I gained .6 lbs as did Mike. The only thing we changed yesterday was eating strawberries instead of Oranges. We made the change due to the FB HCGPlantinum page saying not to eat oranges every day. So we switched up. x Of course, we ate oranges all through Round 1 and didn't see any issues but we went with the suggestion on the FB page since it supposedly came from the HCGPlatinum expert. We ate oranges all through the R1 and didn't seem to have any problems. So we thought we would lose more if we made the change.

In addition to that change, we also ate Perdue's ready made chicken - natural, grilled. We didn't see any additives in it and it didn't show any sugar at all.

So we may two changes yesterday and we will see if just the strawberries are the difference tomorrow without the chicken. We will have to see if eating that chicken again will be an issue.

We will see if anything else changes tomorrow.

R2 P2 D12-13

Well another Saturday weigh in. Mike continues to lose and is now at 243. That is great. Before we started R1, he was at 271.4 so this is a total loss of 28.4 lbs. I am now at 165.6 and my starting weight 188. for a total loss of 22.8 lbs. That is incredible amount of weight lose since August even though we took several months off in between. One month R1 (23 days) and now we are in P2 D13. We are both glad about that.

Both Mike and I gained some yesterday due to Melba toast. I should know better about eating a single serving of that! Everytime I gain. We had french onion soup with the melba toast and I had 2.5 pieces. I should have only had 1/2 of a piece! But it was so good and that was how much was recommended according to the diet book. So I have dropped the 1.4 lbs I gained plus .2 more. According to my forecast, I MAY finally be in the 150's and Mike in the 230's by Saturday.

Then we cheat that weekend for my mom's 80th birthday. We will see how that goes but hopefully we won't gain too much -only a couple of pounds. I hope we both are smart about what we eat. I will limit my carbs for sure.

Mike is having difficulty with this Round. More so than the first round. He is not sure he can go all the way through the rest of the month to D40. I am hoping we can do at least two more weeks. If the cheat days don't hurt too much, than we can see how it goes.

We are going to the sauna this morning so we hope that if we do that every day, that will also help us continue to lose more weight each day. We will see how much today's sauna impacts tomorrow's weight. It has helped in the past.

Will post more tomorrow.

R2 P2 D11

Another pound gone. 165.8! Yahoo. 10.8 pounds to go for my original goal. I have been able to keep my .8 friend away from the party so that is great news. I hope he doesn't show up anytime soon. I get frustrated when it is at least not a full pound lost in the morning so having him stay away is great.

Mike also finally got back to his R1 LDD weight of 243.8. So it took him two weeks to get back to that. He is looking forward to being in the 230s next week.

We were hungry last night as I mentioned - Mike more than me. So I hope that it won't be staying around. During the day, I was fine but at night it seemed to catch up with me. This morning, my stomach is growling for food. I so want to reach out to the candy jars here at work and have just one little ity bitty M&M! But I won't!

Several of my friends who I have mentioned this diet to have also now started. It is fun to be part of a "club" now. We get to chat about things. I get to help them with their questions also because they are on their first round - that makes me feel good.

I still have to watch myself though because when I start talking about it - I can't stop! So I try not to get so excited about it that they get bored about my stories! LOL.

Looking forward to next week when I hope I finally get into the 150s!!

R2 P2 D10

I lost another 1.4 lbs today and am now at 166.4. Yahoo. Mike dropped also and is at 244.2 - only .4 lbs from his R1 LDD. So all in all everything is going great. Obviously I won't be in the 150's by Sunday but at least it is going in the right direction. :-)

We both are a little hungry tonight but we are holding on. Not sure why but probably still what I call habits. You sit in front of the TV and you want to munch on something. I really don't have a grumbling stomach but just feel like I could eat some ice cream or chocolate. I don't know how to explain it. Mike feels the same way.

We will be finishing two weeks this weekend. I am still excited about the weight loss. The 1.4 lbs gain early set me back but as I said yesterday, my depression is gone. LOL . I actually go to sleep hoping for another pound or more in the morning. I know, I am obsessed but I am goal oriented and I see that I have 11 more pounds to get there.

I also think about the next time we are seeing our family and surprising them with our weight loss. Can't wait for everyone to say "Wow". :-) That will be two weekends from now. During that weekend, we are going to do two cheat days. We have read that while we are "cheating" we shouldn't take our drops - so we will see. We just want to enjoy my mother-in-laws 80th birthday! So we will see how that goes and what we will gain. We will be making some smart choices I am sure but we will exceed our calories. Who can resist Emeril's Steakhouse! :-)

More tomorrow!

R2 P2 D9

Okay, I am out of my depression for today. I lost 1 lb overnight -but didn't lose that .4 additional pounds. I am hoping tomorrow will be good news. Mike, however, gained .2 lbs. He had more deli meat yesterday so I am curious as to whether that was what caused both of us to gain. I will not eat another piece of deli meat - that is for sure - and hopefully continue to lose along with Mike.

For lunch I had to go out for a business lunch so I ordered a Chicken Caesar salad with no parmesan cheese or croutons and dressing on the side. So basically I had a grilled piece of chicken and romaine lettuce.

For dinner, we had Beef tacos on romaine lettuce.

This round and the last round for fruit we have been doing apples and oranges. However, I read on FB HCG Platinum that you shouldn't be doing oranges every day. So we are confused because it was listed in one diet plan but the FB page says every other day. So we will probably use the oranges we have and then not buy any more. According to the FB site, apples and strawberries are what we are supposed to do. So we will see what happens.

I talked to another person about this diet, got the usual reaction of 500 calories!! In the end she will be reading this blog to find all the links to see if this is something she wants to do. I told her I was there for her and can point her to all the right places.

Off to the hot tub, hoping more weight loss tomorrow.

R2 P2 D8

Okay, now I am depressed and bummed out. Somehow overnight I gained 1.4 lbs back. So let's see, yesterday I eliminated the vitamins and the lotion and only added the deli meat but I also didn't do my lightweight exercising. So maybe I will not eat the deli meat again if that was the cause! We will see.
Last night we had spaghettiless meat sauce, one of my favorites. Mike made enough for my lunch today -but I forgot it! So I will have to go out and get something to eat because I have nothing here. I will have to look online for the vegetarian recipe/meal because I can't trust that any chicken or beef I get will be right. Steamed shrimp maybe with no oils added. I will have to see.
Mike did lose more weight more than a pound. So he is good -even after eating the deli meat! So at least he is on his way.
I am just depressed that first I only lost .2, then .8 and now gained. Wonder what is going on! I am at work again this week - worked from home last week - so maybe that will give me more exercise in the light sense that it. I hoping for a major loss tomorrow so that I will be back on track!
Way to start the week! Got a case of the Mondays!!

R2 P2 D7

My friend, the .8 loser, arrive again but I can at least say I am now weigh 167.8 so at least I am heading in the right direction. Overall in R2 I have lost 6.4 lbs in 6 days - so that still averages more than a lb a day. Total for R1 and R2 is 20.6. That is still great for me.

Mike lost another 1.2 lbs and now weights 247. Total for R2 is 10.8 lbs. Total for R1 and R2 is 21.8. This weight loss is really trying to get him back to to his R1 LDD of 243.8. So by the end of the week, he will be back or below that weight. He is still upset that he gained that weight back because this week may have meant he would have been in the 230s.

As far as me, I mentioned I was taking my vitamins. I was also using Jergens moisturizer this time. I know you are supposed to eliminate all oils from your diet but in R1, my skin became so dry I wasn't going to let that happen this time. So starting today, I will use the Jergens very other day and take my vitamins every other day. I will see if that helps.

In R1, I was losing .8 pounds a day and you get addicted to the more than one pound day loss. So I am bummed today that in the last two days, I have only lost 1 lb. My forecast says that if I only lose .8 lbs going forward, I won't break into the 150s a week from now. In fact, I will take me two more weeks. Argh! Oh well, I will try to "hang on". :-)

For dinner last night, we had the Italian Meatballs and salad with a dill dressing. Of course, this is all from the recipe book. Today we bought some turkey deli meat after reviewing all the ingredients and had that for lunch with celery.

I have noticed that I am slowing down my eating. I take my time chewing every bite. I think that this helps me feel full - and throughly enjoy my meal.

Mike is always hungry but he is committed to this round.

We will see if eliminating the lotion and vitamins today does anything for tomorrow!

R2 P2 D6

First, here are some before and current pictures. I thought I could post them at the end of this blog but apparently not. Still trying to figure it out.

So let's start of with the great news. Mike dropped to 248. 2 dropping 5.6 lbs overnight for a total 0f 9.6 this round so far and a total of 23.2 since Round 1. He also had no headaches this morning! So all seems good for him.

I only lost .2 lbs today which bums me out but as of today I have lost a total of 5.6 for this round and 20 lbs since Round 1. Two things changed yesterday. 1 - we had melba toast. That helped Mike but may not have helped me. 2 - I started taking my vitamins again. I know there are some oils in there (especially the fish oil) but it is small so I would think it wouldn't matter. If I ate fish, I would get the oils also. So I am going to take them again today to see if it really impacts the loss. I will be drinking lots more also because in reality, a third thing didn't happen as far as doing the dirty. So, maybe, just maybe if I can get that functioning then tomorrow will be another bigger lost day. Of course based on this my goal of 159s by Sunday may be delayed.

I also posted a new review on the GNC HCG Platinum. It is incredible that those who are succeeding with the product give it 5 Stars but those those don't give it 1 Star. I have to tell my story again so that others don't get discouraged about at least giving it a try. This has been the best thing for Mike and I. Also, there is a HCG Platinum Facebook page. I will probably start posting. Apparently, if you post before and after pictures, you get a free bottle of the HCG Platinum. Too bad Mike and I didn't take those pictures. On the GNC review, I did post the before and after pictures but still waiting for my review to be posted. We will see. Of course, I did put in my blog address but needed to but it in not as url but a space between every dot. I hope others can follow along. I know a couple of followers here found it from my previous reviews.

Crossing fingers for more than one pound lost tomorrow so I can make 159s by Sunday .

R2 P2 D5 Yahoo!

Waiting for good things works. Today I weighed in at 168.6! Yahoo. Yesterday was 170.4 and I was bummed I didn't break into the 169s and today I am in the 168s!!! I am feeling great. So far this round I have lost another 5.4 lbs. All being more than a pound a day. I hope that I keep losing at least another pound a day because then I will be in the 150s by next Sunday - squeaking by but hopefully there. Have to lose 1 lb a day to get there! Only 8.7 lbs! I feel like I am obsessed this time with dropping more weight. I can't sit still. I feel like I have a ton of energy. I am doing light exercising whenever I can. For example, when I have something in the microwave for a couple of minutes, I do squats, leg lifts and use the spaghetti jars as weights to work my arms. All this in less than 3 minutes. If I do that a couple times a day, I hope it is helping to burn that fat off! We will see. Last time, I feel into losing .8 lbs a day and that was a bummer because those extra .2 lbs added up and I didn't get to break into the 160s the first time. This time, I am all geared to make sure I break into the 150s.

Mike had a yahoo moment today also. He lost 2.8 lbs and is now at 253.8. He gained .2 yesterday and he was not in a good mood. A headache woke him up in the middle of the morning. This was 3 days of headaches and we are trying to figure out whether is withdrawal from the carbs, etc. Hopefully this morning will be the last day. If not, I have told him to think about stopping his synthroid again. He did last time and lost the weight. He went back on it and gained weight back. So I am not convinced the synthroid is good for him. I will have to investigate it some more. And if he gets his weight down and his thyroid still shows it is underactive, I don't know if there is a reason to keep to keep taking it. We will see what the doctor says after this Round to see if he will agree. Of course, we haven't told the doc yet we have been doing this. Our annual physicals are in a couple of months and we will be surprising him with the weight loss on both of us.
Last night we had hamburgers and salad for dinner. Mike made one of the salad dressing from the recipe book and it was very good. Who would of thought that a salad dressing without oil would be good but it was.

Anyhow, all is good today. I am not hungry, not tired with no headaches.

For lunch we had bbq beef and radishes. For dinner, we had chicken fingers and cucumbers. Yum.

So all is well. Hopefully more than a pound loss tomorrow!

R2 P2 D4

Today I lost another 1.4 lbs but just couldn't cross over into the 169's. 170.4!! Tomorrow hopefully I will be in the 169's. Mike actually gains .2 lbs and he is not happy. First he had to deal with an incredible headache yesterday - not sure if it was the diet or sinuses. He is not a happy camper this morning. I went back to my spreadsheet I have been keeping since R1 and looked back to see how much weight both of us have lost in R1 compared to R2. So far, I am on track and actually have lost .1 lbs more than R1 but Mike has not lost as much. I do know that he went of his synthroid the first time and he lost all of that weight but this time he is taking it. So I may talk to him about stopping it again. I know we were hoping that after R1 his thyroid would be level set but the blood test showed it wasn't so he was instructed by the doctor to continue it. I still don't think the synthroid is helping him because it allowed him to gain back 50% of the weight he lost in R1 and now he is not losing as quickly as he did - plus the headaches. Dr. S said to try to go off all medications which is what we did the first round so.... I will have to see if I can be convincing.

Another thing I forgot to add was that we are also taking 2 tbsps of Raw Apply Cider Vinegar every evening. This is supposedly a metabolic booster while you sleep. So far I have to agree and I wake up not being bloated. I took this off and on Phase 4 so I am not sure if that helped me keep the weight off. I know that Mike took some but not as much as me so I really can't claim to much victory..however, I will continue taking every day probably forever if it helps keep this weight off. As of today since July, I have lost 18 lbs. Mike has lost 14.8 but he was up as high as 27.6.

We had lemon chicken last night for dinner with a dry salad. We add spices to the salad so that is okay for me. Today, I need to make sure I drink that gallon of water. I didn't quite make it yesterday and woke up today dry mouthed. So, I have to get back into rhythm as I was on R1 and make sure I do everything I am supposed to do.

Anxiously waiting for 169 tomorrow!

R2 P2 D3

Another day in paradise. Overnight I lost 2.2 lbs weighing in at my R1 LDD at 171.8. Mike lost 3.6 lbs weighing in at 256.4. He is still 12.6 lbs higher than his R1 LDD. He lost 27.6 on R1 and by the time this is over he is hoping he will be over 50 lbs lost. That will be amazing especially for him. He has not stopped taking his synthroid this round. He will see how it goes but so far so good.
We went to the gym today for our last training sessions. We had 2 more so we thought we would use them now so we can try to burn a little more. The trainer took it easy on me because I just wanted a review session so that I can it more on my own. We both also went into the sauna for 15-20 minutes. It went well and I am feeling just fine. Mike must had it a little tougher because this afternoon he has a headache. He is not sure if it is his sinuses or because he did too much. I know he is trying really hard to lose as much weight as he can but I will need to watch him to make sure he isn't doing too much.

For lunch, we had bbq hamburg with radishes. I am not sure what we are having for dinner but I am sure it will be chicken. It is too bad that Mike doesn't like seafood because we both could do some great dishes if he did. Instead, I usually take shrimp to work for lunch so I can at least have my seafood fix.

As I am heating up my tea in the microwave, I am also doing squats, leg raises and using the jars of spaghetti as weights to work my arms. I know they say you should exercise but doing this 2-3 times a day should only help since I am not really raising my heart rate or running out of breath. I will now if I continue to lose a pound or more a day. In R1, we didn't exercise at all and this time, I just feel like I have to do something - even lightly.

We will see how the exercise and the sauna helped tomorrow.

R2 P2 D2

Today I woke up at 4 a.m. with a splitting headache. I took some advil and was successful in going back to sleep. Mike woke up later and he too had a headache and has had one all day. We both know it is the withdraw from all the fats/carbs we had over the weekend and just checked it off our list. Of course, I re-read this website just to make sure I was thinking clearly:

It was a great day for both of us. Overnight, I lost 5.4 lbs, which was what I gained after the Fat loading days. I am now back at my starting weight of 174. Mike lost 5.2 lbs but is still 2.2 lbs away from his starting weight of 257.8. He weighed in at 260 instead of 257.8. He is hoping by tomorrow he will be below the 257.8.
I looked back at our first round and saw we both lost that amount of weight after the first day on the LCD so we are in sync again with Round 1 and the weight loss. I also did some pre-planning to see where we would be if lost one pound a day. After 28 days, I will have exceeded my goal of 155 and be at 149 down a total of 39.4 lbs from when I first started this. Mike will be at 335 and down 36.4. His is not as much as mine because he gained some of the weight back. But that is at least motivator for both of us. I just don't know what I will look like at 149 but 155 is minimum for now! Since I can't remember me ever being at the weight, it will be interesting. We will see in 30 days -if we make it that long. Of course, 2 weeks before that is a big 80 birthday for my mom-in-law so we are looking to see what happens by that time and whether we take a break or just continue the drops and eat cautiously.

For lunch today, we have grilled chicken with salad. The chicken and salad had spices on it. For dinner we are having spaghetti-less meat sauce. We really like that before so I am looking forward to it tonight.

I haven't had much hunger pains and think I am doing better than the last time. Probably mind over matter but also we made sure we really ate a lot of fat this weekend. Last time we did a lot of carbs and fat -thinking the carbs were fatty enough. It wasn't but this time, ice cream, frosty's etc. yumm.

Another successful day.

R2 P2 D1

This weekend was our fat loading days. Over Christmas and the day after was great. Got to eat lots of fatty stuff and other things. As of this morning, I weighed 5.2 lbs more today and Mike gained 7 lbs. So today was our first LCD day. For lunch, we have bbq beef and celery. For dinner, we had basil chicken and tomatoes. All were good. Today wasn't too bad - as long as we stayed busy. :-) After eating everything for 2 days, I still have a "need" for more food and sweets. But we have started and that is good news. Hopefully tomorrow we will see lots of pounds drop off like we did last time!

We love the recipe book because it means you don't have to think too much!

Here is the link for the recipe book again:

More tomorrow!

Round 2 Begins Tomorrow

So we are starting Round 2 tomorrow. 2 fat loading days! First one will on Christmas Day! What a way to enjoy the holiday. The day after is our niece's birthday -so even more fat loading! Monday we start the LCD. We both are looking forward to it.

I have only gained 2.2 pounds since my LDD which was 171.8 and weighed in at 174. So if I am "allowed" to be 2 lbs above that it would be 173.8..so I guess I can say I am .2 oz above my LCD. I think that is great because I have been able to maintain the loss for the last couple of months. I am hoping to lose 15-20 more pounds and hopefully fall into the 150s permanently. I keep seeing my silhouette and thinking how good that weight loss will look. I remember years ago when I was down to that weight and really liked it but gained weight back because of lots of reasons. But since I have been able to keep the last weight off and still eat real food, I think I will be able to keep it off forever. Of course being 50 years old, we all know that weight gets added but this is my time to make sure it comes off and stays off. Crossing my fingers.

As far as Mike, he has gained back about 14 lbs and is not happy. The sad thing is that he gained most of that in the last couple of months when we were renovating our house..he couldn't leave or do much while he waited for the contractors, etc. So he is hoping for 30-40 lbs this round. This time he wants to stay on the LCD for 40 days instead of 20. Again crossing fingers. We are committed again to losing more weight.
I will try to be more diligent this time and write down each day what we eat, how we feel, and of course, how much we lose.

We won't be weighing in again until Monday morning- after fat loading days - so we will see the weight gain on Monday morning but hopefully one-two days later it will be off. I am working from home all next week so my first week will be a great time for transition!

Until next time!

P4 Continues

So we both lost some weight after the steak day. I lost 1.4 overnight but the last three days I have lost 3.4 lbs. So I am back to .2 under my LDD. Mike lost 4.6 overnight but he is still between 10-12 over his LDD. He is frustrated because he says he hasn't been eating more so I wonder if he is gaining weight because he is not making his 1500 calories per day. Anyhow, we are counting down to 12/25 as our first fat day for Round 2. In the meantime, we will try not to gain any more weight and Mike hopes to lose more before the 25th so he can start from his LDD. That means 10-12 lbs lost in 3 weeks so that will be hard. AT least he hasn't gained all of his weight back so that is good. More later.

P4 and Thanksgiving

Well, as most of us know, we eat too much at Thanksgiving and pay the price afterwards. Mike and I both gained weight. I gained 4.2 lbs and Mike gained more. I think he is up 7 lbs for the week. This holiday season is going to be tough for him because he loves his sweets. So I worry about him. Yesterday we guacamole, enchiladas and tacos at Cheesecake Factory. For dinner, I had a salad and Mike had a hamburger. Today I lost 1.4 lbs overnight so it seems I made the right choices but Mike gains .2 oz. As of today, I am still less than 2 lbs over my LDD (currently at 173.6) but Mike is way over. To many temptations for him. He sees the 25th as the next phase but I hope he doesn't gain it all back to lose it again. I know he is around 255 and his LDD was 243.8 so his 30 lb weight loss has been reduced to 15ish. Today is a steak day but we are both very hungry which is the transition from eating all the wrong food and trying to get back on. We have been going to the gym and working out as well as being in the sauna which has helped me. We will see how Mike does tomorrow.

I am actually getting frustrated that I got into the 169s and haven't been able to maintain it there but again am beginning to believe my body settled in the LDD range - at least that is what I am thinking so that it gives me an excuse. :-)

I am going to try to be in the 155-159 range when I finish the next round. That would be 15-20 lbs. I hope I make it and then my body settles into that range like it has now. After that round, then I can do something about my clothes which need to be taken in. I don't want to spend the money now. I am missing out on all the year end clothes sales also. I don't want to buy something that fits now and it now fit in 2 months so I think I don't have any choice but to wait. The end of January hopefully will mean there are still things around for me! Some of my clothes can be taken in but some can't so I will decide at the end of January.

This week will be a very busy week. I am still bringing my lunch so that helps things.

We will see how tomorrow goes with the weigh in! Anxiously waiting for the 25th!

Today was good news for Mike. He lost 5.6 lbs overnight based on the steak day plus his time in the spa. I lost 1.4 lbs over night. Why do guys lose more than gals??? I am actually 2 ozs lower than my LDD. Again, I think that is where my body stabilized between 170-172 but not 2 lbs more than my LDD.

Anyhow, Mike still have almost another 5 lbs to get back to his LDD. He will be working hard the next couple of days to get there before Thanksgiving but in the end, he will be back at his LDD by December 25 so that he can continue to lose more from that time.

I am still amazed at how little things can make a difference - the steak day, low carb day, etc. I am just glad that the extra weight has stayed off and I have about a month to go for Round 2.

P4 Continues with some disappointment for Mike

Today Mike informed me that he has gained 12 lbs back. He has been sneaking some extras and it finally caught up with him to realize he hasn't been good. Girl scout cookies, candy and too many other things. So today he went to the sauna, worked out a little, had a piece of string cheese (for the protein he says), and apple and lots of water. We will be doing a modified steak day with him eating the fore-mentioned. He is disappointed in himself and is determined to get back down to 245 before we start R2 on December 25 so that he can try to get down to the 220's. Of course, I have been mentioning all of this to him, each time he ate something. The problem is he just didn't stop and he kept thinking is was just one thing. But today he weighed in in the 250's. I don't remember the weight but it was probably 255 because he said he was 12 lbs up from his LDD. We will see how it goes and I hope tomorrow is a drop of couple of lbs for him. Thanksgiving comes up on Thursday so he wants to "be really good" until then.

As far as me, I am still within 2 lbs of my LDD. Today I weighed in 172.2, which is only .4 lbs higher than my LDD. I fluctuate between 170-172 depending on what I eat, and if I drink enough water. So I am fine. Of course, when I hit 169 I was excited but that didn't last too long. I wonder if that was because it was more than 2 lbs of my LDD and my body was controlling that. LOL. Anyhow, the steak day will be good for me too. I don't mind it and everything helps. :-)

I will post more tomorrow to see how Mike does. Cross your fingers. :-)
