R2 P2 D5 Yahoo!

Waiting for good things works. Today I weighed in at 168.6! Yahoo. Yesterday was 170.4 and I was bummed I didn't break into the 169s and today I am in the 168s!!! I am feeling great. So far this round I have lost another 5.4 lbs. All being more than a pound a day. I hope that I keep losing at least another pound a day because then I will be in the 150s by next Sunday - squeaking by but hopefully there. Have to lose 1 lb a day to get there! Only 8.7 lbs! I feel like I am obsessed this time with dropping more weight. I can't sit still. I feel like I have a ton of energy. I am doing light exercising whenever I can. For example, when I have something in the microwave for a couple of minutes, I do squats, leg lifts and use the spaghetti jars as weights to work my arms. All this in less than 3 minutes. If I do that a couple times a day, I hope it is helping to burn that fat off! We will see. Last time, I feel into losing .8 lbs a day and that was a bummer because those extra .2 lbs added up and I didn't get to break into the 160s the first time. This time, I am all geared to make sure I break into the 150s.

Mike had a yahoo moment today also. He lost 2.8 lbs and is now at 253.8. He gained .2 yesterday and he was not in a good mood. A headache woke him up in the middle of the morning. This was 3 days of headaches and we are trying to figure out whether is withdrawal from the carbs, etc. Hopefully this morning will be the last day. If not, I have told him to think about stopping his synthroid again. He did last time and lost the weight. He went back on it and gained weight back. So I am not convinced the synthroid is good for him. I will have to investigate it some more. And if he gets his weight down and his thyroid still shows it is underactive, I don't know if there is a reason to keep to keep taking it. We will see what the doctor says after this Round to see if he will agree. Of course, we haven't told the doc yet we have been doing this. Our annual physicals are in a couple of months and we will be surprising him with the weight loss on both of us.
Last night we had hamburgers and salad for dinner. Mike made one of the salad dressing from the recipe book and it was very good. Who would of thought that a salad dressing without oil would be good but it was.

Anyhow, all is good today. I am not hungry, not tired with no headaches.

For lunch we had bbq beef and radishes. For dinner, we had chicken fingers and cucumbers. Yum.

So all is well. Hopefully more than a pound loss tomorrow!

R2 P2 D4

Today I lost another 1.4 lbs but just couldn't cross over into the 169's. 170.4!! Tomorrow hopefully I will be in the 169's. Mike actually gains .2 lbs and he is not happy. First he had to deal with an incredible headache yesterday - not sure if it was the diet or sinuses. He is not a happy camper this morning. I went back to my spreadsheet I have been keeping since R1 and looked back to see how much weight both of us have lost in R1 compared to R2. So far, I am on track and actually have lost .1 lbs more than R1 but Mike has not lost as much. I do know that he went of his synthroid the first time and he lost all of that weight but this time he is taking it. So I may talk to him about stopping it again. I know we were hoping that after R1 his thyroid would be level set but the blood test showed it wasn't so he was instructed by the doctor to continue it. I still don't think the synthroid is helping him because it allowed him to gain back 50% of the weight he lost in R1 and now he is not losing as quickly as he did - plus the headaches. Dr. S said to try to go off all medications which is what we did the first round so.... I will have to see if I can be convincing.

Another thing I forgot to add was that we are also taking 2 tbsps of Raw Apply Cider Vinegar every evening. This is supposedly a metabolic booster while you sleep. So far I have to agree and I wake up not being bloated. I took this off and on Phase 4 so I am not sure if that helped me keep the weight off. I know that Mike took some but not as much as me so I really can't claim to much victory..however, I will continue taking every day probably forever if it helps keep this weight off. As of today since July, I have lost 18 lbs. Mike has lost 14.8 but he was up as high as 27.6.

We had lemon chicken last night for dinner with a dry salad. We add spices to the salad so that is okay for me. Today, I need to make sure I drink that gallon of water. I didn't quite make it yesterday and woke up today dry mouthed. So, I have to get back into rhythm as I was on R1 and make sure I do everything I am supposed to do.

Anxiously waiting for 169 tomorrow!

R2 P2 D3

Another day in paradise. Overnight I lost 2.2 lbs weighing in at my R1 LDD at 171.8. Mike lost 3.6 lbs weighing in at 256.4. He is still 12.6 lbs higher than his R1 LDD. He lost 27.6 on R1 and by the time this is over he is hoping he will be over 50 lbs lost. That will be amazing especially for him. He has not stopped taking his synthroid this round. He will see how it goes but so far so good.
We went to the gym today for our last training sessions. We had 2 more so we thought we would use them now so we can try to burn a little more. The trainer took it easy on me because I just wanted a review session so that I can it more on my own. We both also went into the sauna for 15-20 minutes. It went well and I am feeling just fine. Mike must had it a little tougher because this afternoon he has a headache. He is not sure if it is his sinuses or because he did too much. I know he is trying really hard to lose as much weight as he can but I will need to watch him to make sure he isn't doing too much.

For lunch, we had bbq hamburg with radishes. I am not sure what we are having for dinner but I am sure it will be chicken. It is too bad that Mike doesn't like seafood because we both could do some great dishes if he did. Instead, I usually take shrimp to work for lunch so I can at least have my seafood fix.

As I am heating up my tea in the microwave, I am also doing squats, leg raises and using the jars of spaghetti as weights to work my arms. I know they say you should exercise but doing this 2-3 times a day should only help since I am not really raising my heart rate or running out of breath. I will now if I continue to lose a pound or more a day. In R1, we didn't exercise at all and this time, I just feel like I have to do something - even lightly.

We will see how the exercise and the sauna helped tomorrow.

R2 P2 D2

Today I woke up at 4 a.m. with a splitting headache. I took some advil and was successful in going back to sleep. Mike woke up later and he too had a headache and has had one all day. We both know it is the withdraw from all the fats/carbs we had over the weekend and just checked it off our list. Of course, I re-read this website just to make sure I was thinking clearly:

It was a great day for both of us. Overnight, I lost 5.4 lbs, which was what I gained after the Fat loading days. I am now back at my starting weight of 174. Mike lost 5.2 lbs but is still 2.2 lbs away from his starting weight of 257.8. He weighed in at 260 instead of 257.8. He is hoping by tomorrow he will be below the 257.8.
I looked back at our first round and saw we both lost that amount of weight after the first day on the LCD so we are in sync again with Round 1 and the weight loss. I also did some pre-planning to see where we would be if lost one pound a day. After 28 days, I will have exceeded my goal of 155 and be at 149 down a total of 39.4 lbs from when I first started this. Mike will be at 335 and down 36.4. His is not as much as mine because he gained some of the weight back. But that is at least motivator for both of us. I just don't know what I will look like at 149 but 155 is minimum for now! Since I can't remember me ever being at the weight, it will be interesting. We will see in 30 days -if we make it that long. Of course, 2 weeks before that is a big 80 birthday for my mom-in-law so we are looking to see what happens by that time and whether we take a break or just continue the drops and eat cautiously.

For lunch today, we have grilled chicken with salad. The chicken and salad had spices on it. For dinner we are having spaghetti-less meat sauce. We really like that before so I am looking forward to it tonight.

I haven't had much hunger pains and think I am doing better than the last time. Probably mind over matter but also we made sure we really ate a lot of fat this weekend. Last time we did a lot of carbs and fat -thinking the carbs were fatty enough. It wasn't but this time, ice cream, frosty's etc. yumm.

Another successful day.

R2 P2 D1

This weekend was our fat loading days. Over Christmas and the day after was great. Got to eat lots of fatty stuff and other things. As of this morning, I weighed 5.2 lbs more today and Mike gained 7 lbs. So today was our first LCD day. For lunch, we have bbq beef and celery. For dinner, we had basil chicken and tomatoes. All were good. Today wasn't too bad - as long as we stayed busy. :-) After eating everything for 2 days, I still have a "need" for more food and sweets. But we have started and that is good news. Hopefully tomorrow we will see lots of pounds drop off like we did last time!

We love the recipe book because it means you don't have to think too much!

Here is the link for the recipe book again:

More tomorrow!

Round 2 Begins Tomorrow

So we are starting Round 2 tomorrow. 2 fat loading days! First one will on Christmas Day! What a way to enjoy the holiday. The day after is our niece's birthday -so even more fat loading! Monday we start the LCD. We both are looking forward to it.

I have only gained 2.2 pounds since my LDD which was 171.8 and weighed in at 174. So if I am "allowed" to be 2 lbs above that it would be 173.8..so I guess I can say I am .2 oz above my LCD. I think that is great because I have been able to maintain the loss for the last couple of months. I am hoping to lose 15-20 more pounds and hopefully fall into the 150s permanently. I keep seeing my silhouette and thinking how good that weight loss will look. I remember years ago when I was down to that weight and really liked it but gained weight back because of lots of reasons. But since I have been able to keep the last weight off and still eat real food, I think I will be able to keep it off forever. Of course being 50 years old, we all know that weight gets added but this is my time to make sure it comes off and stays off. Crossing my fingers.

As far as Mike, he has gained back about 14 lbs and is not happy. The sad thing is that he gained most of that in the last couple of months when we were renovating our house..he couldn't leave or do much while he waited for the contractors, etc. So he is hoping for 30-40 lbs this round. This time he wants to stay on the LCD for 40 days instead of 20. Again crossing fingers. We are committed again to losing more weight.
I will try to be more diligent this time and write down each day what we eat, how we feel, and of course, how much we lose.

We won't be weighing in again until Monday morning- after fat loading days - so we will see the weight gain on Monday morning but hopefully one-two days later it will be off. I am working from home all next week so my first week will be a great time for transition!

Until next time!

P4 Continues

So we both lost some weight after the steak day. I lost 1.4 overnight but the last three days I have lost 3.4 lbs. So I am back to .2 under my LDD. Mike lost 4.6 overnight but he is still between 10-12 over his LDD. He is frustrated because he says he hasn't been eating more so I wonder if he is gaining weight because he is not making his 1500 calories per day. Anyhow, we are counting down to 12/25 as our first fat day for Round 2. In the meantime, we will try not to gain any more weight and Mike hopes to lose more before the 25th so he can start from his LDD. That means 10-12 lbs lost in 3 weeks so that will be hard. AT least he hasn't gained all of his weight back so that is good. More later.

P4 and Thanksgiving

Well, as most of us know, we eat too much at Thanksgiving and pay the price afterwards. Mike and I both gained weight. I gained 4.2 lbs and Mike gained more. I think he is up 7 lbs for the week. This holiday season is going to be tough for him because he loves his sweets. So I worry about him. Yesterday we guacamole, enchiladas and tacos at Cheesecake Factory. For dinner, I had a salad and Mike had a hamburger. Today I lost 1.4 lbs overnight so it seems I made the right choices but Mike gains .2 oz. As of today, I am still less than 2 lbs over my LDD (currently at 173.6) but Mike is way over. To many temptations for him. He sees the 25th as the next phase but I hope he doesn't gain it all back to lose it again. I know he is around 255 and his LDD was 243.8 so his 30 lb weight loss has been reduced to 15ish. Today is a steak day but we are both very hungry which is the transition from eating all the wrong food and trying to get back on. We have been going to the gym and working out as well as being in the sauna which has helped me. We will see how Mike does tomorrow.

I am actually getting frustrated that I got into the 169s and haven't been able to maintain it there but again am beginning to believe my body settled in the LDD range - at least that is what I am thinking so that it gives me an excuse. :-)

I am going to try to be in the 155-159 range when I finish the next round. That would be 15-20 lbs. I hope I make it and then my body settles into that range like it has now. After that round, then I can do something about my clothes which need to be taken in. I don't want to spend the money now. I am missing out on all the year end clothes sales also. I don't want to buy something that fits now and it now fit in 2 months so I think I don't have any choice but to wait. The end of January hopefully will mean there are still things around for me! Some of my clothes can be taken in but some can't so I will decide at the end of January.

This week will be a very busy week. I am still bringing my lunch so that helps things.

We will see how tomorrow goes with the weigh in! Anxiously waiting for the 25th!

Monday, November 22, 2010

Today was good news for Mike. He lost 5.6 lbs overnight based on the steak day plus his time in the spa. I lost 1.4 lbs over night. Why do guys lose more than gals??? I am actually 2 ozs lower than my LDD. Again, I think that is where my body stabilized between 170-172 but not 2 lbs more than my LDD.

Anyhow, Mike still have almost another 5 lbs to get back to his LDD. He will be working hard the next couple of days to get there before Thanksgiving but in the end, he will be back at his LDD by December 25 so that he can continue to lose more from that time.

I am still amazed at how little things can make a difference - the steak day, low carb day, etc. I am just glad that the extra weight has stayed off and I have about a month to go for Round 2.

P4 Continues with some disappointment for Mike

Today Mike informed me that he has gained 12 lbs back. He has been sneaking some extras and it finally caught up with him to realize he hasn't been good. Girl scout cookies, candy and too many other things. So today he went to the sauna, worked out a little, had a piece of string cheese (for the protein he says), and apple and lots of water. We will be doing a modified steak day with him eating the fore-mentioned. He is disappointed in himself and is determined to get back down to 245 before we start R2 on December 25 so that he can try to get down to the 220's. Of course, I have been mentioning all of this to him, each time he ate something. The problem is he just didn't stop and he kept thinking is was just one thing. But today he weighed in in the 250's. I don't remember the weight but it was probably 255 because he said he was 12 lbs up from his LDD. We will see how it goes and I hope tomorrow is a drop of couple of lbs for him. Thanksgiving comes up on Thursday so he wants to "be really good" until then.

As far as me, I am still within 2 lbs of my LDD. Today I weighed in 172.2, which is only .4 lbs higher than my LDD. I fluctuate between 170-172 depending on what I eat, and if I drink enough water. So I am fine. Of course, when I hit 169 I was excited but that didn't last too long. I wonder if that was because it was more than 2 lbs of my LDD and my body was controlling that. LOL. Anyhow, the steak day will be good for me too. I don't mind it and everything helps. :-)

I will post more tomorrow to see how Mike does. Cross your fingers. :-)

P4 Continues

We just returned from St. Thomas and Mike gained 2 lbs and I gained 4 lbs but 3 days later the weight gain was gone. We just did a steak day the day after we got back. We love this diet because we have been able to basically eat anything and still not gain our weight back.

We are starting Round 2 on Christmas Day - our first fat loading day! We just want to lose some more 15-20 for me; 30 for Mike are our goals. We will see.

I still chuckle when I tell people about this. I sound like I am bragging about my child! But more and more are trying it successfully.

I don't know if I mentioned it before but Mike needed to start taking the synroid again because his blood test came back from the doctor. We haven't told him yet about being on the diet but I can't wait until I see him in April for my annual physical! That would be great to walk in 30-40 pounds lighter! Can't wait!

P4 Continues Successfully

I haven't written for quite some time because there has been nothing to report except that the weight keeps staying off. We have had to do a steak day here and there but in the end, we are doing well.

We are off to St. Thomas for our anniversary so we are expecting to gain weight while we are there - who doesn't on vacation??? Hoping that we will exercise enough to only gain a couple of pounds.

I have been sharing this blog to a lot of people and one friend recently started this diet and is amazed at how much she has already lost. I had to chuckle with her about her 27 pounds lost in 25 days. It is amazing and everyone is noticing it on her.

We have decided we will start Round 2 on Christmas Day (fat loading day 1) until January 15 which will only be 15-20 days approximately but that is the weekend we are celebrating my mother in laws 80th Birthday so we want to be able to enjoy ourselves. So we still want to just lose some more and so far this has worked.

We are also going to the gym 2-3 times a week so that is helping and the skin is tightening up.

So all in all we are doing well and looking forward to Round 2. After that Round, I will be able to either take my clothes in or get a new wardrobe! My clothes are too big now but I am making due but after another 10-15 pounds, I definitely will swimming in them.

I will write something when I get back from vacation to see how things went.

P4 D13 plus

Another week has gone by and both Mike and I are doing great. We actually had pizza and ice cream this weekend and I weighed in at 167.4!! Lost two more lbs. Mike lost another pound also. I can't express how much our maintenance plan is working for us. We are eating food...no restricted diet just watching what we eat and making sure we exercise. So all in all we are doing great. Of course, my next goal is the 150's so only 7.5 more pounds to go by the end of October...so I will feel and look good on the St. Thomas' beaches!!

Another friend has just started the diet on Saturday and as of today lost a little over 7 pounds already. She is so excited! She sounds like me. I laugh with my friends about talking about this as if it was a new baby! LOL.

I had to clean out my closet this weekend because we are renovating and 3 bags of clothes are going to Goodwill. Some I have not worn over a year and some I just figured I won't wear again. Right now, my skirts are hanging (barely) on me and I have to make a decision of when to have them taken in. Certainly don't want to start with a brand new wardrobe - nor can I afford a brand new wardrobe. Plus the winter is coming and we all know between holidays and weather, that additional pounds get put back on..so I am afraid of doing any thing with the wardrobe until January...so I can see where I am.

Still rockin'!

P4 D12

Yahoo! I stayed in the 160's and weighed in this morning at 168.4! Don't know why I am starting to lose weight but like I said it is probably because my eating habits have continued to be good. We both went to the gym last night so that helps burn more calories! Not trying to lose weigh - meaning I am not "dieting". Very excited that I am staying in the 160's. Mike gained .4 from yesterday but still is doing very well. He is laughing that he is building muscle that is why he gained weight! Love it!

Tuesday, September 21, 2010

P4 D11

Well, today was great news. I finally got into the 160's and weighed in at 169.2! Hopefully I will stay in the 160s. Mike also dropped more weight down to 243.4. He is now within the 2 lbs his LDD. So I am very excited that I finally got there. I know that we are supposed to stay within 2 pounds +/- of our LDD but watching what we eat and exercising is helping us lose some more weight. Now if I can only lose 9.3 more pounds before 10/30 so I can be in the 150's!
We both are going to the gym. Mike is bing a die hard and going every day this week (and maybe every day going forward). We will see. I am going almost every other day. I am hoping to get into great shape not only for St. Thomas but just because I want to.

I told Mike I have been doing something wrong ..last night at dinner I had a martini and lost weight...I need to have a martini every night so I can lose more weight. LOL.

More later!

P4 D4-10

This now has been the end of the 10 days on P4 and we can't complain too much since we can eat what we want - and expect the consequences of what we eat. So during the week, we did very well and we were glad to see our weight stablizing. However the weekend hit and we went to out to lunch at TGI Fridays on Friday and then dinner on Saturday night. So now I have gained 1.2 lbs for the week but still have not gained more than 2 lbs since my Last Drop Day. Mike, however, has been snacking and he is up 3.6 lbs above his LDD. He knows he has been snacking and that means more calories. So tonight we will do a large steak for dinner. He cannot go without anything all day so we are just watching what we eat today and then have the steak so we can both hopefully drop the weight.

Mike also got his blood test back for his thyroid and the doctor wants him to to continue to take the synthroid. So he also started that this week. I am curious as to whether his weight gain is because he is back on the synthroid but we will see. When he was on it before, he couldn't lose weight or stabilize his weight so I am questioning it but going with the doctor (for now). :-)

We also have started back at the gym and doing that every other day. We both are doing good so there is no effects to our body since we were on the diet. We are not toning, etc so we will 1) stabilize the weight and 2) get ready for St. Thomas. We have 40 days until that so hopefully some of the toning will kick in by then!

People are laughing at me when after they ask about my weight loss, I get all excited about it and start talking non-stop. I am starting to catch myself and just give them my blog address so that they can read all about. Since my blog has all the links, they can decide how they want go.

All in all, I tell people, you have to make a commitment with no deviations if you want to be successful. Mike and I agree this worked for us. Hope everyone reading this is doing great - I am sharing as much as possible!

P4 D2-3

So P4 will/is the test for real life. I have told Mike since day one that this is a permanent lifestyle change and we are moving forward with P4. As I mentioned last time, Mike had gained 5 lbs by P4 D1. However, the good news is that he lost that overnight and as of the morning of D2 he was at 244.6, which is still less than 2 lbs of his LDD. I lost 1 lb overnight so I was actually .6 oz less than the my LDD.

Feeling good, working hard and not planning for dinner properly, we finally had Papa John's pizza. Overnight, Mike and I both gained .8 ozs but we expected some since we ate the pizza. I have to tell you that I mentioned to Mike that the pizza just didn't taste the same. It just was not a "I got to have it" taste. I am sure that this is because we hadn't had any in 8 weeks but I also believe that my tastes have changed.

For breakfast, we both had omelets and bacon, which I couldn't finish. For lunch today, I had leftover steak and strawberries. Mike had the last 2 slices of the pizza. Tonight we are having spaghetti squash dinner which we have enjoyed in the past. It is a low carb dinner so we think it will be fine.

As for the lifestyle changes, we are still watching our carbs but now eating what we want. I think that weighing yourself every day helps you keep within the weight that you are at now and gives you the motivations to change what you eating if there is any abnormal gains.

Before this diet, I used to bring for lunch the frozen meals. Now that I see how many carbs there are in them, I won't buy them again. Instead, I will pack my lunch every day (with Mike being the cook for me thankfully!). I think that this not only saves money but provides me with better alternatives for lunch. At least once or twice a week, I go out for lunch so I can still make the right choices.

We both still haven't had our ice cream and right now, we are not really craving it. We both know that what we eat will affect our weight and neither of us want to gain it back so we will continue to do what is the right thing.

Mike will hear back from the doctor this week whether he will need to use his synthroid again. I hope he doesn't, that will be the biggest win. He hasn't used it for 8 weeks.

As far as body fat, I was at 33.4 but as of yesterday, I was at 29.9. That is great. Mike's however isn't going down, even though his clothes are getting too big for him. He started at 36.7 and was at 35.2 so some came off but not as much as me.

We also went to the gym yesterday and did pretty well. This was the first time I have been back so my legs got tired early on the bike. I was able to do the weight exercises for my arms and back but didn't push the weight because I wanted to be careful. Next time, I will push the weight up 5 lbs each time so that I can get back to where I was before - and go beyond. Mike, as always, does great at the machines and helps me get better.

So this week will be a great week so have the new bodies adjust to real life and real food. We are looking forward to staying at the weight we are through to January before we start another cycle. I want 10-15 more pounds and Mike wants at least another 20. As long as we keep that as our goal, I think we will be fine. Positive thinking!

P3 D19-21 (today is P4 D1!!)

We have been bad. We weren't supposed to start P4 until today but after a long day's work on D19, we went to a Mexican restaurant. I had chips and guacamole but did good for the dinner by not having any tortillas or enchiladas. However, the manager treated us to a chocolate ice cream dessert. So we dug in!

So neither of us weighed into until this morning and ate really well yesterday. The damage for me was .2 oz gained (I was glad with only that) but Mike over the last couple of days gained 5 lbs. So he is not happy. He started exercising yesterday and today so that his body can get in better shape. We will see how it goes but P4 started today so we will see how it goes.

Steak for dinner!

P3 D19

Yahooo! Ididn't gain an ounce after eating the nachos and Mike may have gained a few ozs but all I know is that he said he didn't gain more than a lb. Of course for dinner, we had chicken paremsan (without pasta) and a salad. We also had our raw apple vinegar. I am convinced that this vinegar has some stablization or weight loss properties. I remember when I was on the LA Weight Loss diet tons of years of ago, the counselor told me to drink 2 cups of water with a lemon and that reduced bloatiness and help increase the metabolism. Since we have started the vinegar, I have noticed that the bloatiness reduces in the morning. Maybe it helps with metabolism but I don't care. As long as my mind is convinced it helps with the weight loss, I will continue with it.

Today will be an interesting day as I didn't pack my lunch. My boss usually comes to my office on Tuesdays and then we go to lunch. I am not sure now if he is coming or not. So I may just have to improvise at that the salad bar!

This week we will try really really hard to get to the gym. I have two events I want to get my body in shape for. November is St. Thomas and the December is Holiday Parties. I want to look my best then to show off my weight loss!

I keep running into people who want to hear more about my story. Now I just give them my blog address because it has all the links for the P&I, weblinks, etc that they will need. It makes it a lot easier than trying to explain it all to them.

I have heard back from some that GNC's product is pretty expensive $80 instead of finding something on the web for $20. I didn't trust anything on the web so I went for something that would guarantee a 30 day return. Now that we have done it once, we will see what we will use in January when we do another round. Time will tell. We are just hoping we don't gain any weight over the holidays. I know it is only September but the more we talk about it, the more we can prepare ourselves with the right foods and mentality.

Off to another work day!

So another work day done. For lunch, I had shrimp with a salad but I did have a biscuit. Tonight Mike made pizza with cauliflower dough. Came out very good. Hopefully tomorrow the biscuit and the nachos don't catch up with me! Wish me luck!

P3 D16-18

The last two days, my mom-in-law has been here for a short visit. This of course causes us to eat differently but mostly to treat her out at restaurants since she doesn't get out much.

On Friday we went to dinner at Damon's. Mom ordered spinach artichoke dip. I was scooping the dip and sucking it off the chip. I was not going to eat the chips! For dinner, I had chicken with crab with cheese. Mike had southwestern chicken without the chips. I gained .2 lbs! Mike gained .4 lbs. We thought that was okay - especially since Mike at the chips!
Saturday night, we cooked beef brisket and had salad. Nothing major. I lost .6 lbs overnight and Mike gained .4
Last night was The Grill where I had a salad, fish and steam vegetables. The salad had pears and candied walnuts but I ate them any way. Today, I weighed in .6 lbs heavier. So that was okay - I didn't gain 2 lbs over night!
Today we had nachos so we really crossed over the carb today! Tomorrow we will see.
So as of today, I am at 170.8 which is .6 below my LDD and Mike is at 244.2, which is .4 above his LDD. So all in all we are still doing well.

Tomorrow we will see how much we gained after the nachos! It was in indulgence but we will see how it affects our bodies and weight. Tonight is chicken and salad for dinner so we are still doing our low-carb thing - maybe to counter act our lunch!

One more week on the low-carb but we have started cheating already by adding a few things. Except for the nachos, we have been pretty good. Keeping the carb count below 20 mostly.

So until tomorrow! Cross your fingers it is not too much weight gain!!

P3 D11-15

Another week on P3. This week was more stable on the weight then the last week. We are eating pretty good also. As I mentioned in my last post, we found some low carb or zero carb bread products. I know the protocol says no starches but we have added them to our diets. It has helped us tremendously because we are satisfying our cravings. In addition, the products are adding bulk that helps fill us up. We are not over doing it so we are glad. I am now down .8 from my LDD and as of today weighed in at 170.6. I had wanted to get into the 160's by the end of P2 but didn't make it. Since my LDD weight was 171.8 and I am allowed 2 lbs below (or above). than that means I can get to 169.8 without any issues. Mike is .6 lbs lighter than his LDD. So all in all we are still rocking.

I forgot to mention we have been doing 2 tblspns of raw apple cidar vinegar. We had started that at the end of P2 and have tried to do it every day on P3. Not sure if it is helping but it sure isn't hurting.

I keep bragging about this diet to anyone who wants to hear about it. :-) We both are very pleased of course. My total loss as of today is 17.8 and Mike's is 28.2 in 38 days. You can't beat that!

P3 D9-10

Today is a great day. After a week on P3, I am only .2 lbs higher than my LDD (last drop day) and Mike is equal to his LDD. We are excited that this is working so well. We did see some flucuation during the week and did have to do 2 steak days. On one occasion, I actually gained .8 lbs but Mike lost 1 lb. The 2nd time we did the steak day, I lost 2 lbs the next day and Mike lost 2.4 lbs 2 days afterwards. Then yesterday, I lost .2 and Mike lost another 2.4 lbs. We worked really hard yesterday in the yard. I had to stop several times because I was light headed but I know Mike worked really hard because he lost a lot of weight. We were drinking a lot of water.

To help with the dizziness, I am assuming I am in ketosis. Once time when I did the Atkins diet, I ended up feeling the same way and the carbs were just too low for my body. Mike has been having light headness off and on also. So we found some no net carb bread, and some low carb chips, tortilla pita bread, pizza crust and spaghetti. We have been eating that the later part of the week and haven't seen any gain in our weight (actually lost!).

So here is the link for the bread and spaghetti:
https://www.lindasdietdelites.com
We ordered:
Dixie Diner Skinni Spaghetti Angel Hair Pasta = $7.32
HealthWise Bakery Flavor Rey Zero Net Carb Bread (perishable) = $6.99

The spaghetti is a little dry but some low-carb sauce and Parmesan helped. We just were glad to have some spaghetti. We haven't decided if we liked this over the spaghetti squash but we will continue with both to see.

On the chips, tortillas and pizza crust, we ordered from:
https://locarbu.com/
1 x Dixie Diners Low Carb Texas Toasters Pizza Flavored Chips = $6.99
1 x LA TORTILLA GARLIC N HERB LOW CARB TORTILLAS 7" = $3.99
2 x carLO CARBiano Low Carb Pizza Crust Garlic Basil 7" = $9.98
1 x LA TORTILLA WHOLE WHEAT LOW CARB TORTILLAS 7" = $3.99
------------------------------------------------------
So, on Friday we had the pizza. I put it on my Pamper Chef pizza stone but it still wasn't firm. Overall it was good. We liked that as well as the cauliflower pizza dough - plus it was a lot easier to prepare. The chips have been good with the guacamole or nachos we have been making. Again a little chewy or soft when they are heated up. They break easy too when dipping so we spoon our guac on it.

All in all, we are enjoying the low carb. We are trying to keep our carbs very low - and according to Atkins, it should be below 20 grams a day. We definitely haven't gone that high. We still aren't sure what our total calories are mostly because we don't take the time to calculate them.

Also yesterday was our measuring day. We both are continuing to lose some. Not much now week to week but about .5 inches each. Total I have lost 13.5" and Mike has lost 15.75". Our clothes are now fitting either perfectly or a little loose.

This week will will try to get to the gym. We didn't over the weekend because of the work we were doing in the yard preparing for our master bedroom renovation. So we will try....hopefully at least 3 times this week.

So here is the summary post from our diet so far. I have summed it up for a weekly summary plus added the days I hadn't posted. Also is the P3 week one, where you can see how the weight goes up and down. Sometimes the steak day works but we are not disheartened by it because we both are now within the 2 lbs since the LDD. We are committed to make this work in the long run. We are now checking the labels all the time and making the right choices. Two more weeks on Phase 3 and then Phase 4. We plan on being alert to what we eat in that phase also. In November going to St. Thomas for our anniversary and want to show off our slimmer bodies!

P3 D2-D8

I have been so swamped with work and have barely been able to weigh in every morning. Thankfully I have a wonderful husband who takes care of my (our) food needs).

This has been our first week on the Phase 3. They warned us that our weight will be going up and down and they were right.

So last I posted we were on D1 of Phase 3, which is basically a low-carb diet. Some of the web sites have suggested we do Atkins Induction Stage but that is too restricted for us coming off the vlcd of 500 calories! So we did cauliflower pizza the first night and absolutely loved it. This past week we have been on a low-carb diet and still have not eaten any starches or sugars. We have had to do two steak days already but our weight is pretty much stabilized. When we began our P3 I was starting at 171 and Mike was at 243.6. We are supposed to, however, use our last drop day as the weight we are supposed to be 2 lbs around every day. So for me it would be 171.8 and Mike 245.8.

So anyhow, lunches and dinners have been low carb. We don't know how many calories we are eating but know we probably ate way to much the first day even with the cauliflower crust pizza which was on Friday, 8/20. By Sunday 8/22, we had to do a steak day! I lost 1.4 lbs over night and Mike lost 1 lb. We had another steak day last night and I lost 2 lbs and Mike only lost .2 lbs.

As far as foods, we are still using the HCG cookbook but adding some cheese to it and doubling the size of the meat. We also are using other low carb recipes. As of today, after losing the 2 lbs overnight, I am back to 171.8 which was my weight on the last day of my drops. Mike is at 247.8 which is 2 lbs higher than his last drops. The Steak days are not doing what they need to for Mike. We will have to discuss this and see if there is something else he wants to do. I know he wants to start exercising more and has ran once. I think we will go to the gym this weekend so that we can get back doing that. We won't start heavy just a long bike ride as well as light weights. We will see how to move his weight back down. He doesn't want to do 2 steak days in a row.

I am also back taking my vitamins and that is helping me a lot. Since they have a little oil in it, I figured I was safe taking them again.

Overall, I still brag about this diet. I still get shocked looks from people when I tell them 500 calories but then they can see that I have lost the 15+ pounds in 30 days. Mike has lost 23+ pounds. We both are happy. We are addicted to the fast weight loss though and want to do another round but the timing won't work out for us since we are going to St. Thomas at the beginning of November. We don't want to be on Phase 3 during that! So we will continue the low carb for the 2 weeks and then make the decision on what we will do with Phase 4. We have already found Bread that has a 0 net carbs. 7 grams Gram and 7 grams fiber. So we will see if try that anytime soon!

To all the followers, thanks for posting comments. If you are doing the diet, congratulations. I wish you all the success. If you are contemplating it, I will tell you it is not easy at first because you have to make all your meals. I did eat out at restaurants a couple of times but called ahead and planned my meals - which was mostly shrimp since that is always on the menu. Good luck to all! I will try to be more diligent in posting more.

Cheers!

P3 D1

Today we decides was going to be our Phase 3 Day 1 instead of tomorrow. We were just getting very hungry and felt that the HCG must of worked through our system so we are giving the low carb diet a try.

I lost .4 pounds and Mike stayed the same. So tomorrow we will see what happens. Today we had cheese omelettes and bacon for breakfast. For lunch we finished off the beef we had cooking a low calorie sloppy joe with romaine lettuce. For dinner we went the low carb way and created our own pizza which was made with cauliflower dough. We had found that before and decided to try it since we both were craving a pizza. AND the pizza was great. It is not very crisp except on the edges but it tasted like pizza. You don't even taste the cauliflower. Here is the where we got the recipe:

http://www.ehow.com/how_5559550_make-cauliflower-pizza.html

There are tons of places. Of course, everyone out there is trying to make the crust more firmer but I haven't found the answer. I did cook it on my pamper chef pizza stone and it came out okay. I too wish the crust was a little stiffer but overall it was worth it. Mike really loved it.
(We hope our weight doesn't go up tomorrow morning.)

So now, we are on a low carb diet with no starches or sugars. So we will see how it goes. We are both disappointed we didn't get to our goal weights but I lost 17.4 lbs and Mike lost 28 pounds so we are glad about that. So we will see how the next 3 weeks go. We will be going to gym starting next week also.

P2 D24

Yesterday was the first day without drops and neither of us gained weight but we didn't lose any either.

Yesterday I had bbq chicken fingers and celery for lunch. Dinner we had Italian Meatballs and a salad. I am having leftover meatballs for lunch.

We are both craving food and I think that is mind over matter mostly - knowing on Saturday we get to eat something different. We have pulled out our low carb recipes and even have a low carb pizza dough that we are going to try. This dough is made with califlower riced - it sounds so good. Mike isn't excited about califlower but we will see. Maybe we will make that for dinner on Saturday so we can finally have a pizza!

More later.

P2 D23

Today I officially have lost 17 pounds! I dropped only .4 overnight (and I am blaming my boss for that since I had to eat lunch at restaurant LOL otherwise I may have lost more). I am now 1.5 pounds away from 169.9! I just want to get into the 16os.

Mike lost 2 lbs overnight but he skipped lunch so that is not right. He is thinking of skipping lunch again today so he can drop more weight.

We are no longer taking the GNC HCG Platinum drops so these next three days will be interesting as the HCG leaves our bodies. I hope we can wait until Saturday morning for our 1500 calories and don't start getting hungry these next couple of days. I have read that if we do we slowly add more calories - mostly from the recipes we have been using for Phase 2. Don't try to add any new ingredients until Saturday. So we will see how it goes. We are also supposedly going to continue to lose weight during these next 3 transition days. .5 a day will work for me!

Getting used to my clothes slipping on so nicely. Really like the feeling and am determined not to gain the weight back. Next week we can also start doing more exercising. Of course, we won't go full out yet. Just slowly start doing more than a 30 minute stroll every night.

Mike still hasn't taken any of his synthroid. He will schedule a blood test the 2nd week of Phase 4 to see how it looks. With things still settling down during Phase 3, it would be best to wait for him to be in maintenance mood. I would be so excited if the blood test comes back with no problems with the thyroid. That would be assume. Several on line have mentioned that had happened to them. Of course, several also who have done this no longer are Type II diabetic either but that must come from the weight lost. So hopefully both of our bodies are healthy and we can stay within this weight range.

Tomorrow weigh should be interesting as well as hunger. Wish us luck!

P2 D22

Today was a great day for me on the weigh in - I lost 1.2 pounds! That, of course, made me mad because today is the last day of the drops and I want more to go away. However, my clothes are slidding on my and I am within 2 lbs of what I weighed this time last year. So I am back on track.

Mike lost 1.8 lbs which one pound was what he gained after eating the steak.

So far I have lost 16.8 and Mike has lost 25.6!!! He is so anxious to get to Saturday and we laugh about it. So hopefully tomorrow I drop into the 160s or at least by Saturday morning. The weight is supposed to continue even though the drops have stopped at least for the 3 more days we are on the 500 vlcd.

My boss made me go to lunch with him and I had to ask the restaurant to grill the salmon with nothing on it - no butters, etc. It actually came out pretty good. I didn't finish it all and tried to figure out what 4 oz would have been - half the size of my palm. So hopefully I don't gain weight but if I do, I told my boss I would blame him. LOL.

We have spaghetti less meat sauce for dinner. I love that recipe and requested at least once a week. It is quick to make and yummy.

So starting weight for me was 188.4 and I am now at 171.8. Mike's starting was 271.4 and he is now at 245.8. This stuff is working. We have also started taking 2 tablespoons of raw apple cider vinegar, which we now wish we did the whole time - since it is supposed to help you lose more. But, we didn't pay attention to that until now and now I lose more weight! Oh boy and oh well.

More to come tomorrow.

P2 D21

Yesterday was chicken tacos (romaine lettuce) for lunch and steak for dinner. Mike gained a pound and I lost .2. Every time we have steak we essentially don't lose weight or gain it. We had a New York Strip steak so there probably was more fat in it then the fat we trimmed.

Today was cold chicken salad with celery for lunch. We don't know what we will be having for dinner. Dinner was hamburgers and cucumbers.

Of course, every day we have one apple and one orange.

We are getting a little anxious about Saturday and are totally bored with the recipes. Not much we can do differently or eat any differently from the recipes so we are just counting down 4 more full days after today until Phase 3. We are already looking at low carb recipes so that we are prepared for the 3 weeks. Planning, planning and more planning to success. Anyhow, we are reading over and over again Phase 3 so that we are doing what we need to do.

I realized that I never did share any of my links that have helped us be so successful so I just posted it in my P2 D1 post but am now including it here also:

(one of my favorite sites because I usually find answers on this one most.)

P2 D20

I thought I had saved my last post but don't see it so I will have to write it again.

Three weeks complete. Yahoo! In 21 days, I have crossed over the 15 lbs lost and lost 15.2 lbs and Mike has lost 24.8 lbs. We are very glad with the weight lost. We do get twisted up wanting to lose more -keeping in mind 30 days/30 lbs but it doesn't look like that will happen. Mike has lost more than a pound a day than me but he keeps claiming it is because he had more to lose.

Saturday was our apple day. We had hoped it would kick our system into gear and clear the backup but it didn't. We are not sure if was worth the effort to do it because we didn't lose a ton of weight - in fact I only lost .6; I was hoping for over 1 pound but I am trying to see the good side that I lost weight at all.

Saturday was also our measuring day. So far I have lost 12.75" and Mike has lost 15.25". I can now fit back into my 10/12 and can give my size 14 to goodwill. I will never be back in them.

We are thinking we may becoming immune to the HCG because our weight lost is reducing day to day. So we have decided to stop P2 on Day 26, meaning we stop the HCG on Day 23 so that we have 72 hours for the HCG to clear our system. We know we have to stay on the 500 vlcd for those three days. We are already planning for our cheese omelet on P3 D1! We are also starting to think ahead about what we can and cannot eat. 6 more days on the 500 vlcd. I am hoping to cross over into the 160s by then and Mike is hoping to cross into the 230s. IF I lose .8 lbs a day, I should be at 168.4 so that will be okay. I was hoping to get to 160 but being below 170 would be acceptable. Mike will have to lose at least 1.2 lbs a day to get into the 230s. So we are crossing our fingers.

I wish I could attached my spreadsheet that shows all the calculations including the inches lost but here is the summary so far:

P2 D19

Today Mike is feeling better because he lost 1.2 lbs and now is at 249. I only lost .4 lbs. Not sure why I am not losing more than one lb a day and getting a little let down that my weight is not dropping as fast as one lb a day. I will hang in there though.

Today will be our apple day. We have two recommendations: one to eat only 6 apples and drink water in 24 from lunch to lunch. The other is to eat an apply every 3 hours during 24 hours with as little as water as possible. This is supposed to help straighten out any errors that has been going on and hopefully clean us both out.

I still don't know what to do to have a daily movement. We both are drinking our required (or more) water a day. Oh well, we will work on it.

So as of today Mike has lost 22.4 and I have lost 13.6. I so want to be close to 159/160 but it looks like I will only be at 168 which is 8-13 lbs higher than I wanted but that still will be 20 lbs; crossing my fingers that something major will happen by day 27 - 8 more days to go. That is when we will be taking a break and do the 3 week transition.

Off to start the apple diet. :-)

P2 D15-18

A lot has been going on with work and keeping us very busy. We are now at day 18 and discussing when we will be stopping this Phase. We so wanted pizza last night but talked ourselves out of it. We have fun talking about the fat food we want to eat; laugh and stay on the diet.

Mike is doing outstanding as of today he has lost 21 lbs. He gained 1.2 lbs overnight and we think it is because he went and drink two bottles of flavored drink. He was tired of water. Today he didn't have any so we will see tomorrow. He is getting anxious about losing more weight. Still 3o lbs more to go on his goal.

As far as me, today I didn't lose anything but have been averaging about .8 lbs a day. So far. 13.6 lbs and my old clothes are fitting me again so I am happy. I still want to lose 15-20 more lbs but we will see.

Because we both either gained or lost nothing, we are going on the apple diet tomorrow so that we can kick something into gear. We aren't going to the bathroom every day and we keep hearing we are supposed to. We are struggling in the department even though we are both drinking lots of water. Hopefully the apple day will work and we will be on our way for the next week and half.

So we have decided to stop between day 24-27. We will see where we are at that time to determine which day it will be. We just know we can't stay on for the 40 days maximum so we will take a break. Do Phase 3 for 3 weeks and maybe start another round.

I am really liking this diet because we are both losing the weight. Finally something that is working. We want to make sure none of it comes back so we agree this has been a lifestyle change and awareness.

So here are the totals day by day:

P2 D14

Another day. We made a mistake last night and ate double the ounces in steak but I didn't gain an ounce today and Mike lost .4 pounds.

Mike is feeling a little dizzy/lightheaded so he is eating strawberries and stevia. That helped him a little but mornings are still a little lightheaded. We will be tracking it.

We have 3 more weeks to go. Mike won't have any problems reaching his weight but I may be squeaking by. We will see.

More tomorrow.

P2 D13

Saturdays are our weigh in and measuring days. Overnight, Mike lost another 2 lbs and I lost 0.8 lbs. Total so far is me 11.6 and Mike 19 in 13 days. This is going great. As far as measurements, we continue to lose the inches and as of today, Mike has lost a total of 24.75" and I have lost 18.75". I slid into my old clothes yesterday and it felt great. So I am at least back to the weight I was a year ago. I am still hoping to lost another 16-21 lbs but we will see.

It is looking like we may quit P2 on Day 34 which is on a Saturday after our weigh in and measuring. We have guests coming for Labor Day Weekend and we want to be able to enjoy their company and some more food. So best is to stop taking the drops on that day; then wait until Monday to start P3 diet. It is 3 more weeks so we should be good.

Mike is now at 252.4 and is hoping to be at 249.# tomorrow or by Monday. He is dropping more than me but I am comfortable with the weight I am dropping. I am now at 176.8. I am hoping to break into the 160's by next Saturday but it seems, I drop between .8 and 1 pound a day. So I will see how it goes - I may be tittering on 169/170 by Saturday.

I am now taking my vitamins and feeling even better. The fogginess has cleared. I am sure that that was not caused by the diet but by my change in life. So if after taking the vitamins, I still lost .8 lbs, I will continue.

Talking to a lot of people about this diet and they are amazed. Of course, proof in the pudding will be maintenance and then maybe others will do this if it fits their lifestyle. I am now packing my lunch for work, which I have not done in a long time but it is working. Better than frozen meal boxes .

P2 D10-12

I am back from being away for 3 days at a business meeting and I lost 2.2 lbs! Yahoo. All the pre-planning and food selection with the restaurants paid off. Of course, I had to put up with lots of people helping me and cautioning me that it a 500 calorie diet was not good for me. Lots of advice. I just told them thank you. I will just prove them wrong when I sustain the weight loss forever!

BUT as of today, I have lost 10.2 pounds in 12 days averaging .9 lbs a day. 17-22 more pounds to go and I am hoping I will make that by the end of the month (P2 D36-37 maybe). That is 3 more weeks.

With the restaurants, I had plain no additives, grilled chicken, shrimp or steak. Of course, I asked for 4 oz at the steak restaurant and the came out with a 9 oz so I just cut off my portion and my boss ate the rest! I was going to order shrimp cocktail but they told me that was in pickling juice and spices so they had some raw shrimp that they just grilled. I have become aware of all of the additives that the restaurants put on food but found they are very accommodating -especially IF they think it has to do with allergies. Of course, I don't tell them that but can if I need to.

Mike is doing outstanding. As of today he has lost 17 pounds in 12 days -more than a pound a day. He was feeling a little bloated last night and did gain .2 lbs this morning. He had melba toast so I am wondering if that was the cause. If we eat melba by itself, it seems we both gain a little but if it is in our food, it doesn't seem to add any weight. I am watching when I eat because I am losing slower than Mike. I am so proud of Mike. His sweet tooth is the biggest issue as always and he usually only stays on a diet for about 2 weeks. So this next week will be a push.

Since I lost my first 10 pounds, I am going to go back on my vitamins. I have been feeling a little foggy (which is related to that time of life issues0 and I am hoping my vitamins will help clear that up. I looked at the ingredients and it has small amounts of oils in it so we will see. I am not taking my fish oil yet though. If I continue to lose weight while on the vitamins than that will be one more step in adding things back. I think I can start wearing my smaller clothes again and will try this weekend to make sure that on Monday I can put my suits back on instead of the stretchy stuff I had to buy in the interim.

P2 D8-9

The last couple of days have been crazy but today fulfilling. As of today, I am down 8.6 lbs and Mike is down 15.0. I finally broke into the 170's and Mike is in the 250's! Yahoo. Mike is doing outstanding. We both are doing extremely well. I will be in business meetings starting at noon today through Thursday afternoon. Have already called ahead at the restaurants we are eating to arrange for 4 oz raw chicken/steak cooked with no oils or fats. They have been very accommodating. I have a mini spice shaker in my purse to add flavor. Mike is exercising more than me and yesterday took a long slow bike ride. I am walking but want to do more if I had time.

P2 D7

Today is a great day. Not only did I get my hair colored (which I understand you are not supposed do when on this diet) but I also lost .8 pounds. So I lost the .4 I gained yesterday plus .4 more. I am still anxiously waiting to drop down to 17# from the 18# so 2 more pounds to go for that.

We bought a new scale from BB&B. The one we bought at the grocery store just didn't seem right. We re-weighed our meat and found the old was higher than the new one. We still lost weight but now we will be reducing our meats.

So now, I have lost 7.4 pounds and my husband has lost 12.6 pounds and he broke from the 26# to the 25# pounds. Yahoo.

Well one week is up and we made it. I, of course, am disappointed that I gained some weight.
I will have to look at what I ate to cause that. Hopefully I will be back down tomorrow. Party
tonight but we are planning on eating before we go and walk around with glasses of water.
Hopefully the hostess won't notice but I can always explain that we are on a restricted diet.

More tomorrow

We are getting so excited about what we have seen so far. Here is our summary

I had to travel for the day for a business meeting yesterday. I called the restaurant and told them I was on a restricted diet and they accommodated me by steaming the unseasoned shrimp and provided it over salad greens. It obviously work since I lost 2.6 pounds from yesterday. I have several business meals next week and have arranged each meal with all the restaurants. They are so accommodating. I have asked for 4 oz raw meat (chicken, steak or shrimp) cooked without any oils or butters or seasoning (because we don't know if there is any sugar in them). They have all been accommodating. Of course 100 grams is a little less than 4 oz so I just won't eat the last bite.

Mike is a little hungry so we have added a little more food to his diet but obviously it hasn't matters with his 2+ pounds per day lost.

Tomorrow is measuring day so I know that the inches will have gone down because our clothes are already sliding on easier. Yahoo!

P2 D2

Wowser. My husband lost 5.4 pounds and I lost 5.3 pounds overnight. For me, it was the weight I gained for the fat loading days and for my husband it was the weight he gains plus 1 more.

Today was chicken fajitas and dinner was meatloaf. We are so glad we found Tammy Skye's Phase Two HCG Dieter Gourmet Cookbook. Loads of recipes there that have helped us do other things.

We both are a little tired today. I actually went to bed last night at 9 pm and slept throughout the night without waking. I woke up rested. We are taking a slow walk every evening.

So far so good.

P2 D1

Today was the first day! Hurray! We were disappointed with the weigh in because we both gained either 3 or 5 pounds from the fat loading weekend. Oh boy, now I have to lose that also.

Today's meals were good. Beef taco (with romaine lettuce leaves for taco shell, apple, orange and then chicken salad. Glad we have recipes specifically for HCG.

I have to walk a couple of blocks to my office so I got some walking in. Then after dinner we took our dog for a short walk.

Not hungry. No headaches.

All is well.

P1 Day 1 and 2

My husband and I have been researching HCG for over a month and decided to move forward this weekend. We are using GNC HCG Platinum drops. Neither of us want to use the shots so we finally trusted GNC's reputation we decided to go with their drops. We didn't want to take any risks.

So this weekend was a trip to Allentown for our nephew's high school graduation party - so on Saturday we had tons of fattening food and on Sunday, we have finished the day and the fat loading weekend with Ben and Jerry's ice cream.

My goal is to lose 35 pounds and my husband's goal is to lose 45. So hear we go. Tomorrow when we weigh in we are expecting to gain weight as we have seen from others posts - so we are not looking for any loss -YET.

I will continue to update this as I go through it.
